A capella - The Flying Pickets

Des que el desaparegut Brian Hibbard els va fundar al 1982, The Flying Pickets ha acumulat una llarga trajectòria musical amb el segell inconfusible de cantar amb l’únic suport de les seves veus. 

L’accés al gran públic, el reconeixement internacional els va arribar al 1984 amb una versió del popular Only You de Yazoo (1982).  Recolzat en un vídeo clip amb una estètica i una realització molt de la època, va esdevenir en un èxit inqüestionable.

La cançó, però, que volem compartir avui es la versió d’un clàssic del soul de 1961.  Wonderful World de Sam Cooke.

Since Brian Hibbard founded in 1982, The Flying Pickets have accumulated a long musical career with the only help of their voices.

The international recognition came in 1984 with a version of the popular Yazoo Only You (1982). Supported by a video clip staging and performing very fashionable in his time, became an unquestionable success.

The song, however, that we share today is a version of a classic of soul by Sam Cooke - Wonderful World, from 1961.

No es gratuït el sobre nom de “The Boss”.

Bruce Springsteen, en actiu des de 1960 i 44 anys després de la publicació del seu primer àlbum amb Columbia Records (Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J., amb The E Street Band), segueix sent un dels referents del rock internacional, un monstre dels escenaris i un artista compromès.

Com a mostra, avui us portem un èxit del 2002 inclòs a The Rising, primer àlbum en set anys en el que es retrobava amb la E Street Band després de 18.  Un recull de cançons que incloïa algunes centrades en els atacs terroristes del 11-S.
